If you could direct your very own love story, how would you want it to be captured? How would you want your story to be retold? What would it look like? What moments and details would be important to you? How would you want to feel when you look back through your photos years from now?

I love asking these questions before each session. So, I’ve been taking this approach a lot more lately and I wanted to share a little behind the scenes of my creative process that helps me dial in on each client’s vision so their session would be uniquely their own.

For these two, we wanted their session to encapsulate their love story that was out of this world… (🤣 I’m not even sorry for the cringey puns haha) kinda like they were in their very own movie with a soundtrack that makes you feel like you were falling in love, right alongside them.

And what better way to start than with the perfect record to set the mood, vibes, and soundtrack as you look through their dreamy, cinematic engagement session? Press play and enjoy as your scroll through their gallery. ↓

P.S. If you’re wondering if it’s crowded at Griffith Observatory, yes, it can be. However, most people are very mindful and kind when you’re shooting to not walk through your shot. To the point that, for some shots, I really wanted people to walk through them for some motion but people were so polite and kind lol. For instances where you don’t want frame to feel cluttered and busy, Photoshop is your friend. 😉
